Wilson, Cortes, Stone garner Tulsa World All-State selections
Three Kingfisher County basketball players are among the top-15 players in the state regardless of class, according to the Tulsa World.
Lomega’s Adysen Wilson was named to the newspaper’s girls All-State team while Kingfisher’s Matthew Stone and Bijan Cortes were selections for the boys.
The newspaper’s longtime preps sports writers Mike Brown (girls) and Barry Lewis (boys) make the selections annually.
Fifteen girls and 15 boys are named to the teams.
Another 85 are selected for honorable mention.
Emma Duffy of Lomega and Vance Raney of Cashion were honorable mention selections this year.
This was the second straight year for Cortes and Stone to be named to the boys list.
Wilson was honorable mention a year ago.
All three players have already racked up numerous postseason honors, including being named to the Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State teams.
