All the golfers battled a rugged south wind Monday during the Western Athletic Conference Golf Tournament.
Tristun Burnham did it just about as good as anyone.
Burnham shot a 3-overpar 75 at Lake Hefner Golf Club’s North Course to finish as the conference runner-up.
Only Elk City’s Nathan Womack was better as he shot an even-par 72.
Burnham bested, among others, Oklahoma City University signee Tres Hill of Elk City, who shot a 76.
Elk City’s team total of 306 easily won the conference title.
Tuttle was second with 362.
KHS only has three golfers, which doesn’t qualify as a team.
Blake Hill’s 87 was eighth individually while Jax Sternberger shot a 93.
