Raiders continue streaking at Okeene

After starting the season 1-3, Lomega is officially on a roll.

The Raiders won their third straight and for the seventh time in eight games Tuesday as they dominated Okeene 71-47 on the road.

Three Lomega players scored in double figures, led by Chase Burton’s 22 points.

He scored 11 of them, including three 3-pointers, in the second quarter when Lomega turned a fourpoint deficit into a 37-23 halftime lead.

Jaxson Snowden added 10 points in the second quarter and Lomega scored 28 overall in the frame.

Snowden ended his night with 16 points.

Lance Yost scored 14, including four in the fourth quarter as the Raiders put the game away with an 1810 run.

Cameron Ramer added eight points for Lomega, which is now 8-4 on the season.

Lady Raiders cruise

A blazing start sparked Lomega to a 73-36 victory Tuesday at Okeene.

It was the Lady Raid- ers’ first game back from the Christmas break, though they showed little rust in building a 23-2 lead in the first quarter and pushing it to 43-11 by halftime.

Paige Wheeler and Aliana Lawson played big roles in the first.

Wheeler hit two 3-pointers and scored 12 points while Lawson chipped in seven more.

Reagan Snowden picked up the pace in the second with nine points.

She finished with 19 while Wheeler led the team with 20.

Lawson scored 14 points while Kate Myers chipped in nine.

The win pushed the Lady Raiders to 11-1 on the season. It was their sixth straight victory.
