Eagles golfers take 3rd at Pioneer Invitational

Hennessey took third place as a team and two county golfers were among the top 10 Tuesday at the Pioneer Mustang Invitational boys golf tournament.

Eagle senior Taylor Ladwig fired an 8-over-par 79 to tie for fourth individually among 72 golfers in the field at Meadowlake Golf Club in Enid.

Dover’s Sam Wood shot an 81, which tied him for seventh.

Ladwig led the Eagles to a 347 team score, which placed them behind Chisholm’s 322 and Perry’s 342.

Enid was fourth with a 357.

Cashion shot a 412, good for seventh as a team.

Also for Hennessey, Daren Lara shot an 87, Kevin Trillo an 87, Brayson Brinson a 96 and Kaden Kennedy a 117.

Asher Howell paced Cashion with his 88. Gavin Layton shot a 99, Kamden Goff a 111, Hank Brown 114 and Connor Poe 118.

Gabe Jones and Jackson Jones of Pond Creek-Hunter led the field individually with their 72s.

Dane Deterding of Chisholm was third with a 78.
