Snider 3rd, team 4th in girls golf opener at Cedar Valley

Despite a not-so-stellar finish, Raegan Snider still put together a solid round in the Kingfisher High School girls opening golf tournament of 2025.
Snider shot an 89 to place third in the John Marshall Girls Tournament held at Cedar Valley Golf Club in Guthrie.
She led KHS to a fourth place finish out of 14 teams.
KHS shot a 421, two strokes behind third-place Crescent.
Perkins-Tryon won the team title with a 367. Oklahoma Christian School fired a 390 for runner-up.
Snider tied with Josey Inselman of Perkins-Tryon, but took third on a scorecard playoff as Snider birdied the No. 1 handicap hole.
However, she could have taken third outright, but Snider triple-bogeyed and quadruple-bogeyed her final two holes of the round.
Kennedy Parker of Perkins was the medalist with an 8-over-par 80.
Gracie Levonities of Christian Heritage was a stroke behind her.
Playing 18 holes for the first time in her life, freshman Ryan Scammahorn shot a 106 to tie for 25th out of 91 individuals.
Layla Kroener shot a 111, good for 35th, and Addison Johnson was 45th with her 115.
Kroener is a sophomore while Johnson is a freshman.
The Lady Jackets play in their own tournament Wednesday at Kingfisher Golf Course.
