Order birth certificates now

Officials at the Oklahoma State Department of Health are preparing for an anticipated overload of visitors in the weeks before Oklahoma schools resume in August.

That concern is intensified with Oklahoma City Public Schools’ decision to start classes this year at the same time as most other schools in the state.

Parents who have children starting school in August are encouraged to order the official copy of their child’s birth certificate now to avoid the rush.
