Read moreRhett Glazier, right, a senior at Lomega High School, paged for Rep. Mike Dobrinski from April 12-15. House pages run messages to legislators while they are in the chamber debating policy and voting on measures and they help in their Capitol offices. Pages also participate in a mock session, in which they learn legislative procedure and how to write legislation. Glazier is the daughter of Janel Nault and Stacy Glazier. She said she plans to attend Southwestern Oklahoma State University to major in nursing. Her community service projects include helping during Vacation Bible School and donating to local food banks and Angel Tree gifts. She’s also organized a local blood drive. Hobbies include baking and cooking, working cattle and spending time with her family. In addition to playing on the basketball team, she is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, on the Student Council and the yearbook staff as well as in 4-H. Personal honors and achievements include being a member of the National Honor Society and the Oklahoma Honor Society, being in the gifted and talented program, playing on the 2020-21 Class B girls basketball state championship team and serving as her freshman class president. Glazier said her life goal is to become a registered nurse and obtain either a master’s degree in business management or a nurse practitioner’s license. While being in the medical field, she still plans to run cattle and stay involved in agriculture. “Rhett was a terrific page,” Dobrinski said. “She has ambitious life goals, but she’s already proven she can do anything she sets her mind to, so I know she’ll achieve much success. It was a joy to show her the state Capitol and a bit of the legislative process.” [Photo provided]
