The Kingfisher Roundup Club Arena played host last weekend to the 31st annual Bud Pedigo Ranch Rodeo. Burum Cattle Co. was this year’s winning team. Pictured (top left) with arena judge Gary Townsend (far left) are team members, from left, Mitchell Gardner, Ty Keenan, Brandon Bloyd and Nathan Burum. Two horses from each team could be nominated for the Top Horse Award. The owner of the Top Horse was presented a custom-made headstall, which was crafted and donated by Trey Fisher of Dover, and a John Israel bit. Bud Walker of the Norvill Farms team earned those prizes as he sits atop the winning horse Bay Roan (bottom left photo). Fisher is standing next to the horse. All cowboys entered were judged for the Top Hand Award. Standing next to Fisher is the winner, Brandon Bloyd. He was presented medicine doctoring bags custom-made by Fisher and donated by Townsend, far right. Both nights of the rodeo featured mutton bustin’ and calf riding competitions. Friday’s mutton bustin’ winner was William Weber (Photo 1) and the calf riding champ was Bentley Williams (Photo 2). Winners on Saturday were Kayci Harrison (Photo 3) for mutton bustin’ and Kal Lafoe (Photo 4) for calf riding. The winners are pictured with the 2020 Kingfisher Roundup Club Queen Jamie Goldman and 2020 Kingfisher Roundup Club Princess Kayla Kremeier.
