Celia Barnard
Celia Cordelia Hudson Barnard passed away Aug. 15, 2021, at the age of 65.
Celia was born on Sunday afternoon, April 29, 1956, in St. Anthony’s Hospital Oklahoma City to her father Rev. Jesse Walton and mother Iva Nell Hudson.
Celia was the youngest of nine children in this yours, mine and our family. Apparently, she was mom and dad’s favorite because they didn’t have any more children after her. Celia was preceded in death by her father, her mother and her son Jimmy Dale.
Also preceding her were brother Jesse Jr., sister Thelma Fay, brother Pat R., sister Christine and brother John Frank. Celia leaves behind her significant other Richard Smith of Oklahoma City.
Celia is survived by her daughter Jessica Renee Barnard and daughter Madison Dubois of Ft. Cobb, and daughter April Dawn Collings and her three sons James Dean, Maximus Caleb and Liam Joseph of Kingfisher.
Celia had four “adopted” sons, Kirby Darbe, JT Lee, Jeremiah Smith and Brody Campbell, all special friends of Celia, Jimmy Dale, Jessica and April. Celia is also survived by her brother C. Ray Hudson and sisters Cherokee Rose Hudson and Mickey Lea Hudson, all of Oklahoma City, and many cousins, nieces and nephews and countless friends and acquaintances.
Celia worked for 15-plus years for Jech and Jech Inc., of Kingfisher.
She loved deeply and lived life to its fullest, always smiling and having kind words for all.
Celia loved music, especially the Beatles. The lady loved Pink.
Memorial services were 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Oklahoma City. Burial services to be determined.
