Area athletes earn All-City honors
A number of area high school athletes earned All-City honors for their performances during the spring sports seasons.
All-City teams are compiled and announced by The Oklahoman’s staff. It includes student-athletes from Oklahoma County and its adjoining counties.
Topping the list were Kingfisher’s Maddi Kamas and Crescent’s Dominic Stevens.
Kamas was not only named to the All-City girls golf team, but is also a player of the year finalist for the sport.
The players of the year for all 2020-21 sports will be announced during the OKC Metro High School Sports Awards broadcast at 7 p.m. Monday, June 28.
Kamas won the Class 4A state championship in May and helped KHS to a state runner-up team finish.
She has signed to play at Oklahoma City University.
Stevens won the Class 2A boys golf state title and placed no worse than tied for first in every tournament during 2021.
He’ll continue his career at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah.
