Victoria ‘Vicki’ Marks
Victoria “Vicki” Lynn Marks, 66, of Omega passed away Friday, Nov. 20, 2020, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Vicki was the third child of Arthur Frank and Ruth Janet (Brueggen) Annuschat and was born Aug. 5, 1954.
Vicki grew up in the town of Okarche where she graduated from Okarche High School in 1973. She later married Terry Glen Marks of Omega on Oct. 12, 1979.
In high school, she was very active in choir and her love for music continued when she would be singing around the house. She especially loved to show up early to Christmas Mass and with the choir.
Vicki and Terry met at a disco dance where they danced the night away. After being married, they spent much time in the gym, whether it was traveling to support her brothers and sisters or going to support Lomega athletics in state tournaments.
They then had three children and could always be found supporting their children at any athletic event.
She was an avid cheerleader for every kid at Lomega and treated them like they were her own. She was known for doing anything she could do to help them out.
She enjoyed cooking and many got to enjoy her homemade pies, cookies, or cinnamon rolls.
Vicki worked many many years at Family Dental Clinic for approximately 44 years and met many wonderful people in Kingfisher County.
After retiring, she spent much of her time chasing after and playing with her grandchildren.
Some of her favorite things to do were to take Tristen to pick out flowers for his mom, watch him play baseball, paint Emma’s nails and play dolls with Emma.
She could also be found at the casino trying to win the big money.
Recently she went on her dream vacation to Nashville, Tenn. While there she visited the Grand Ole Opry Music Hall and sang in the circle on the stage.
Vicki is survived by her husband Terry Glen Marks of the home and her children Janet Marks of Paragould, Ark., Dana Dupree and grandson Tristen Dupree of Clinton, and Kyle and wife Kara Marks and granddaughter Emma Marks of Blanchard.
She is also survived by her brother Larry Annuschat of Okarche and sisters Sandy Raupe (Richard) of Okarche, Denise Meyer (Mike) of Salina, Kan., and Jackie Walta (Chris) of Kingfisher.
She was preceded in death by her parents Art and Ruth Annuschat and her brothers Paul, Stan, Dave, Nick and Ron.
A private family graveside service was Wednesday, Nov. 25, at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in Okarche. It was officiated by Father Cory Stanley.
Services were under the direction of Sanders Funeral Service, Kingfisher.
