Reuben ‘Jerry’ Bratcher
Reuben “Jerry” Bratcher, 79, of Kingfisher, passed away on Jan. 8, 2025, in Kingfisher. Jerry was born on April 30, 1945, in Kingfi sher to Reubin and Lorene (Owensby) Bratcher. He grew up in Kingfisher and enlisted in the United States Army. Jerry married Rosie Bazan and together they shared a life filled with simple joys, including fishing, dining out and taking drives together.
Jerry was a hard-working man who wore many hats during his life. He spent years working in the oilfield in various roles and later served as head of maintenance at Kindred Hospital until his retirement.
He loved hosting family cookouts in his backyard, cherishing time spent with his loved ones.
Jerry especially adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always willing to pause whatever he was doing to spend time with them or lend a hand to those in need.
A generous and kind-hearted man, he was a friend to everyone around him.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Rose, of the home; his children, Frankie McMillen and wife Sheree of Greenfield, Denice Gray Bryan of Piedmont, and Terry Bratcher and wife Dari of Oklahoma City; 23 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; his brother Ronnie Bratcher and wife Sue of Dover; and his sister Linda Creekmore of Oklahoma City; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Johnny McMillen and Paul McMillen; his sisters, Shirley McMillian, Wanda Russell, Patsy Bussard and Pauline Bratcher; and his brother, Kenneth Bratcher.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 13, at Frontline Ministries in Kingfisher. Burial will follow at Kingfisher Cemetery.
Viewing will take place at Wilson Funeral Home from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12.
