Lady Raiders outscore foe; boys offense struggles early
Lomega’s offense looked more like - well - Lomega’s offense in its second game of the season.
The Lady Raiders got double-digit scoring from three different players Tuesday in a 74-63 victory at Drummond.
Four nights after scoring 40 points in a season- opening loss to Dover, the Lady Raiders had that total matched by halftime.
Abby Swart scored 22 points and had at least one field goal in every quarter, but also got big contributions from different teammates in each of the first three quarters.
Aliana Lawson scored nine points in the first as Lomega raced to a 26-14 lead.
In the second, Chloe Meier added five points to help the Lady Raiders maintain a 10-point lead at the half.

ley Ott combined for three 3-pointers and 11 points in the third quarter while Lomega extended the lead to 62-46.
The visitors were 4 of 6 from the foul line and Swart had two buckets to help Lomega hold off the pesky hosts.
Lomega made nine 3-pointers in the game; four of them came from Swart.
Lawson finished her night with 16 points.
Rivera scored 10 while Meier added eight.
Lomega was 1-1 heading into Friday night’s showdown with Okarche.
Bulldogs too much for Raiders
A scoreless first quarter proved too much for Lomega to overcome.
The Raiders’ offense made its appearance too late Tuesday in a 64-42 loss at Drummond.
The Bulldogs returned essentially their entire team from last year’s Class A state quarterfinalist.
They looked the part as they led Lomega 13-0 after a quarter and 30-12 at halftime.
Tyler Norris and Braylen Peters scored 20 each for the Bulldogs. They also got 15 points from Colten Dillingham.
Lomega was led by Chase Burton’s 17 points.
The junior heated up in the second half when he scored 14.
Lance Yost added 11 and Ben Marsh scored eight for the Raiders, who dropped to 1-1 on the season.
