Glenda Mitchell

The funeral for Glenda Marie Mitchell, 82, was Friday, Sept. 22, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church officiated by Rev. Edward Menasco. Cremation followed.

Arrangements were by Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.

Glenda was born on the family farm west of Hennessey on May 16, 1941, to Alvin and Golda Grimes Stribel and died Monday, Sept. 18, 2023, at Hennessey Care Center.

She is survived by two sons, Fred Mitchell and wife Tina of Vernal, Utah, and Jerry Mitchell, Jr., and wife Shelley of Marlow; four grandchildren, Ethan Mitchell, Jesse Mitchell, Colt Mitchell and wife Chylie, and Ryder Mitchell; one great-grandchild, Crew Mitchell; sister-in-law Jean Stribel; and several nieces and nephews.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Alvin Stribel, Jr.
