KHS seniors Taylor, Dobrovolny named January Junior Lions
Kingfisher High School seniors Bree Taylor and Lane Dobrovolny have been announced as the Junior Lions for January 2019.
Taylor is the daughter of Bill and Brooke Taylor.
She is active in FFA, National Honor Society, Oklahoma Honor Society, student council, FCA, BPA, basketball and softball.
Taylor is the current Kingfisher FFA chapter president, NHS vice president, student council public relations officer and is a registered parliamentarian with the American Institute of Parliamentarians.
She has won numerous awards at the local, state and national levels in both livestock judging and career development events.
Included among those was being a member of the 2018 national champion FFA livestock judging team. She’s also won national titles in parliamentary procedure and ag issues.
Taylor has won the Kingfisher Academic Excellence Award, KHS Meritorious Achievement Medal, 4.0 Award, KHS Student of the Month and has been listed on the superintendent’s honor roll.
Dobrovolny is the son of Heath and Kristen Dobrovolny.
He’s also active in FFA and is the current chapter reporter.
He’s competed in and won competitions in meat science evaluation and parliamentary procedure and also was the 2018 Oklahoma State FFA runner-up in landscape management proficiency.
Dobrovolny is a registered and accredited parliamentarian.
He was named an Oklahoma Boys State delegate and was a recipient of the H.V. Thornton Award.
He’s also active in student council, serving as the senior class representative, and KHS Photography, among other activities.
Dobrovolny has been inducted into the National Honor Society and also named to the Oklahoma Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society and has earned the 4.0 Award.
