Wood, Ladwig have strong showings at Hefner

Dover’s Sam Wood and Hennessey’s Taylor Ladwig were two of the best in a crowded field last Tuesday in the 2025 Broncho Invitational held at Lake Hefner Golf Club’s South Course.

Both Ladwig and Wood shot 4-over-par 74s and finished tied for fifth in a tournament that featured 123 golfers.

Jett Cooper of Stroud/ Davenport won medalist honors with an even-par 70.

Hennessey placed ninth as a team with a 344. There were 23 teams in the field.

Kevin Trillo shot an 84 for the Eagles, good for 40th. Daren Lara’s 87 placed him 49th, Jameson Ladwig placed 85th with a 99 and Brayson Brinson shot 101 to place 93rd.

Justin Tovar played as an individual and shot a 91 for Hennessey, good for 64th.

Cashion placed 17th with a 393.

The Wildcats were led by Drake Woody’s 90, which placed 61st. Asher Howell shot a 94, Gavin Layton a 99, Jud Graham a 110 and Hank Brown a 113.
