Warriors’ defense smothers Lomega
Okarche’s frantic pace was more than Lomega could handle.
The Warriors forced three dozen turnovers and turned them into more than four dozen points last Friday in a 95-43 victory at Lomega.
The win evened the Warriors’ record at 1-1 after a season-opening loss against Preston the week before.
Lomega did its best to keep up in the first half as it posted 31 points, but still faced a 25-point deficit.
Okarche then started the second half on a 24-6 run.
The Warriors forced 36 turnovers in the game, which resulted in 52 points. They took 71 total shots - making 56 percent of them - to Lomega’s 37 field goal attempts.
The Raiders (1-2) were led by Ben Marsh’s 14 points.
Lance Yost added nine points and eight rebounds.
Five Warriors hit double- figure scoring.
Caden Schieber led the team with 19 points and nine rebounds while Wyatt Pinkerton scored 18 points.
Jett Mueggenborg sniffed a triple-double with his 16 points, 12 assists and seven rebounds.
Easton Roby and Hunter Mueggenborg scored 10 points apiece.
