Perhaps the program’s best season ever helped land five Dover Longhorns and their coach all-conference honors.

Coaches voted Jared Reese as the boys Coach of the Year in the Skeltur Conference for 2024-25.

Voted to the all-conference team were seniors Lucas Conrady and Jonah Pendergraft and sophomore Casen Buck.

Seniors Carter Kitchens and Nathan Cohee picked up all-conference honorable mention nods.

That group helped lead Dover to a 27-3 record and its first appearance at state since 1993.

The Longhorns won a state quarterfinal for just the second time in program history.

During the regular season, they were 6-1 in Skeltur Conference games. The lone loss was to Pond Creek-Hunter, one the Longhorns avenged a week later in the conference tournament championship.

It was the first time Dover won the Skeltur Conference Tournament in over 30 years.

Colten Dillingham of Drummond was voted the conference MVP.

The girls’ conference MVP went to Kynslee Cue of Waukomis. Her father and coach, Matt Cue, was named Coach of the Year.

Five Lady Longhorns also earned all-conference honors.

Seniors Joi Caldwell and Rylee Buck were voted to the all-conference team.

Madison Goodwin, Kynli Boeckman and Ashley Gamez were honorable mention.

The Lady Longhorns were 22-10 overall and finished one win shy of a return trip to the Class B state tournament.

They went 4-3 in conference games and took third in the conference tournament.
