Near the south doors in the upstairs portion of the APB, there is a display on the wall that lists the Kingfisher High School track and field records.

Once updated, it’s going to include a whole lot of Ally Stephenson.

The KHS senior set yet another school record when she broke the nine-year-old mark in the 100 meter dash last Friday during the Watonga High School Invitational.

Stephenson ran her preliminary race in 12.56 seconds to eclipse the mark of 12.64 that was set by Esmerelda Camarena in 2013.

She went on to win the finals in 12.87, one of three gold medals on the day for the University of Oklahoma signee.

Stephenson also won the 100 and 300 hurdles races, but for the first time this year, it wasn’t a day that saw her claim four golds.

Crescent’s Kinidi Taylor was able to edge her in the long jump in the second battle between the two this season.

Taylor, the reigning Class 2A state champ, jumped 18 feet, 1/2 inch to win the event.

That was one-half inch further than Stephenson’s best jump.

The two also met up at Cashion’s meet when Stephenson broke her own school record in the long jump with a leap of just over 18-4. Taylor was second with a 17-5.

Stephenson now owns school records in the 100, long jump and high jump.

The hurdles are new events for her this season and she again swept those races as she ran the 100 in 15.79 and the 300 in 48.78.

Her 38 points helped spur the Lady Jackets to a runner-up finish in the team standings.

Chisholm won the team title with 142.5 points.

KHS scored 121. Watonga was third with 87, Crescent fourth with 55 and Cashion took fifth with 52.

Hennessey scored 12 points to finish 12th.

Kingfisher also got gold from its 3,200 relay team and in the open.

Jacee Mueggenborg, Katon Lunsford, Taylor Mills and Chesni Newkirk teamed up to win the relay in 10:42.86.

Freshman Liberty Starr won the individual race in 13:23. Mueggenborg took second in the event.

Other silver medalists were Newkirk in the 800 and Lunsford in the 1,600.

Talor Mecklenburg took home the bronze in the open 400.

Kinzie Bell gave Crescent two gold medalists.

She won the discus with a throw of 109-10.
