Road Warriors win big at Cordell
Another long road trip didn’t affect the Okarche girls basketball team.
The Lady Warriors fresh off their trip to the Tournament of Champions in Tulsa - made the trek to Cordell on Tuesday and came back with a 75-25 victory.
The game was decided early as Okarche outscored the Blue Devils 37-4 in the first quarter.
Jalie Rother and Emma Stover did much of the damage as they combined for 27 of the points.
Rother knocked down a trio of treys and had 15 points.
She finished with a game-high 22 points.
Stover had 12 by the end of the first and scored all 17 of her points by halftime as Okarche led 50-12.

Jadyn Rother contributed 11 for Okarche, which upped its season record to 8-4.
Okarche’s pace overwhelms Blue Devils
Much like their girls’ team, the Okarche boys wasted no time in taking control of their game at Cordell.
The Warriors led by 27 points after just one quarter and cruised their way to an 81-27 road win.
As has been the case much of the season, the Blue Devils couldn’t handle Okarche’s relentless pressure.
Cordell committed 36 turnovers in the game, which led to 38 Warriors points.
A lot of that happened in the initial quarter as Okarche raced to a 32-5 advantage.
It was 42-15 by halftime and then Okarche began the second half with a 20-5 spurt.
The sixth-ranked team in Class A saw balanced scoring and a double-double by Caden Schieber.
He scored 15 points to go with 11 rebounds.
P.K. Harris led the team with 16 points and added seven boards.
Easton Roby scored 11 while Cooper Bomhoff added nine.
All of Bomhoff’s points came from beyond the arc where Okarche outscored the Blue Devils 30-6.
