KHS 10th out of 41 teams at Bluejay Bash
Kingfisher got its final prep for its upcoming 36-hole regional when it took part in Guthrie’s Bluejay Bash Thursday at Lake Hefner Golf Club in Oklahoma City. The Yellowjackets shot a combined 617 on the North and South courses to place 10th out of 42 teams on hand. KHS fired a 311 to open the day on the North course and then 306 to close it on the south. Caleb Cameron had rounds of 77 and 70, a total that tied him for 16th out of 211 golfers. Colby Campbell was one stroke back with matching rounds of 74, tying him for 22nd. Also for KHS, Peyton Burns shot a pair of 76s, Logun Burnham had an 85 and an 86, Caden Hill an 84 and 91 and Garrett States a 92 and 87. Stillwater won the tournament with a 562. Heritage Hall was second at 571, one stroke better than Oklahoma Christian School. The Jackets play a 36-hole regional Monday at Brent Bruehl Memorial Golf Course in Purcell.
