Hennessey gets homecoming night sweep over OBA
Hennessey continued to battle the quarantine bug but the Lady Eagles did sneak in a win before the latest interruption.
A dominant stretch in the middle two quarters Friday allowed them to run away from visiting Oklahoma Bible Academy 48-29 on homecoming night.
Later in the weekend, it was announced Hennessey’s games Tuesday with Okarche were canceled as a number of HHS girls are in quarantine as well as a select number of boys players.
Hennessey’s next scheduled game is Jan. 25 at Okla homa Christian Academy.
OBA had no answer for Kass Amburn in the second half or Gracie Mills for the
Amburn scored nine points in the third quarter when the Lady Eagles went on a 17-4 run to take command of the game.
Amburn had all 12 of her points in the second half.
Mills scored 10 points in the first half as the Lady Eagles built a seven-point lead.
She added seven more in the fourth quarter and ended her night with a game-high 21 points.
The win moved Hennessey’s record to 4-5.
Eagles too much for Trojans
Oklahoma Bible Academy tried to keep up with Hennessey’s scoring.

The Eagles got big game from Layton Choate and Jael Torres as they thumped the visiting Trojans, 71-52.
OBA managed to score 24 first-half points, but still trailed by 13.
That’s because Torres torched them for 16 points and Choate 10 more.
But Hennessey wasn’t done.
The Eagles blasted OBA 26-10 in the third as five different Eagles had at least two field goals in the stretch.
Torres finished his night with 20 points. Choate scored 15.
Juan Dominguez added nine and Wade Vinson eight as Hennessey improved to 8-1.
