Dover swept at home by Waukomis
Dover had no answer for Cooper Wieden and Jasper Carter and that spelled the Longhorns’ fourth loss of the season.
The Waukomis duo combined for 46 points as the Chiefs beat the Longhorns 65-50 Tuesday night in Dover.
The pair scored 18 points as Waukomis got out to a 26-12 lead.
The Chiefs increased their advantage to 48-21 by halftime.
Carter had 19 points by the break and fi nished with 22.
Wieden scored 15 by halftime, but kept going in the third quarter.
He led all scorers with
25.
Dover countered with Joriaun Caldwell, who managed 22 points as the team dropped its season mark to 3-4.
Caldwell had 17 points at halftime.
He was the only Longhorn in double fi gures.
Diego Lopez added eight and Emory Norton seven for Dover.
The Lady Longhorns were handed their second straight loss as Waukomis steadily pulled away for a 62-23 victory.
Brynlee Cue scored 17 points through just three quarters for the visitors as they led 34-8 by halftime and extended it by eight more points in the third.
Meadow Caldwell paced the Lady Longhorns with nine points. Yazaret Gamez scored six.
Dover was 2-5 after the loss.
