Dover heads east for Class B baseball regional
Dover learned its playoff fate for its Class B baseball regional and a road trip is in order this week.
The Longhorns will take part in a four-team regional at Varnum beginning Thursday.
The Longhorns will play the fourth-ranked host team in the opening game at 2 p.m. Friday.
The double-elimination bracket will send two teams to next week’s state tournament.
Also taking part are No. 5 Whitesboro and 11th ranked Moss. Those teams square off at 4 p.m.
Dover enters with a 12- 10 record. The Longhorns swept Cimarron in a district last week.
They’ve won three straight games and four of their last five.
Varnum is 19-8 while Whitesboro boasts a 25-6 record. Moss is 15-8.

Thursday
Game 1 - Varnum vs.
Dover, 2 p.m.
Game 2 - Whitesboro vs. Moss, 4 p.m.
Game 3 - Winner 1 vs. Winner 2, 6 p.m. (Winner advances to state)
Friday
Game 4 - Loser 1 vs. Loser 2, 2 p.m.
Game 5 - Winner 4 vs. Loser 3, 4 p.m. (Winner advances to state)
