Blanchard held Kingfisher to two hits Thursday in a 7-0 victory in their Class 4A regional championship.

The win sends Blanchard (32-5) into next week’s super regional round.

The loss ends Kingfisher’s season at 23-9.

Liliana Garramone and Kinlee East picked up hits for KHS, but the Lady Jackets couldn’t consistently get their bats going against Blanchard’s Kylee Coy.

She struck out five batters and walked four in the game.

The game was 1-0 entering the fourth inning before Blanchard got two runs in both the fourth and fifth innings.

The Lions tacked on two more in the top of the seventh.

Lily Voth threw 4 2/3 innings for KHS. She gave up nine hits and four earned runs.

East pitched the final 2 1/3 innings and surrendered two unearned runs.

KHS had two errors in the contest.

The Lady Jackets went 2-2 in the regional with both losses coming to Blanchard.

They defeated Byng 9-1 and 3-0 in Wednesday’s action.

In the first victory, Voth drove in three runs and pitched a complete game.

She allowed six hits and struck out five in her seven innings of work in the circle.

Voth was also 3 of 5 at the plate including a tworun single in the fifth to get Kingfisher’s scoring started. KHS scored three runs in each of its final three at-bats. Adlee Friesen was 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs. Kendall Farrar was also 2 for 4, drove in a run and scored twice.

AfterlosingtoBlanchard, KHS played for a third time Wednesday, this time an elimination showdown with Byng.

East and Voth combined for a one-hit shutout.

East pitched five innings and struck out three. Voth earned the save with her two innings of hitless work.

Both pitchers also drove in a run as did catcher Shelby Davis.
