Helen Patocka

Helen Marie (Hawk) Patocka passed away peacefully at the age of 95 on Dec. 16, 2024.

She was born in Kingfisher County on April 12, 1929, to the late Caril Otis and Mildred (Bellows) Hawk.

Helen grew up near Hennessey and Dalhart, Texas, and was a graduate of Hennessey High School in 1947.

On July 24, 1956, she married Stanley Charles Patocka. They had two children, Charlene Mildred and David Lee.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; her parents; and her four siblings, Donovan Hawk, Dorothy (Hawk) Gorrell, Caroline Hawk and Verva Louise Hawk.

She is survived by her children, Charlene Patocka of Hennessey and David Patocka of Broken Arrow; two grandchildren; and her extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial was Dec. 23 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hennessey, officiated by Rev. Edward Menasco. Burial followed at Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.
