Edward Kuelzer

Edward Henry Kuelzer passed away peacefully on Dec. 20, 2024, in Bedford, Texas, at the age of 87 due to heart failure.

Born on May 8, 1937, in Kingfisher, Edward was the second son of Henry William and Lula Mae (Stanfill) Kuelzer.

Edward spent his early years in Kingfisher before moving to Perkins, where he graduated from high school.

It was during these formative years that he met Doris Joan Spillers, his high school sweetheart and the love of his life.

Their marriage was a beautiful testament to enduring love and devotion, lasting until Doris’ passing in 2018.

Edward was also preceded in death by his older brother, Kermit Charles Kuelzer, in 2023.

A man of integrity and dedication, Edward built a successful career as a salesman for foundry castings.

Known for his quick wit and tireless work ethic, he earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike throughout his professional journey.

Beyond his career accomplishments, Edward’s faith was the cornerstone of his life. A devoted follower of Jesus Christ, he served as an occasional preacher and was deeply involved in church communities throughout his life.

For many years, he was an active member and elder of Sandusky Avenue Christian Church before later joining The Hills Church in North Richland Hills, Texas.

His unwavering faith and spiritual leadership left a lasting impact on those who knew him.

Edward is survived by two loving daughters: Lu-Anne Kuelzer-Eckhout (wife of Dennis) of Oklahoma City and Cheryl Lynn Chaney (wife of Terry) of Bedford, Texas.

He also leaves behind six cherished grandchildren: William Emrich (husband of Brooke), Brian Emrich, Sam Emrich (husband of Caramia), Bethany Chaney Garnett (wife of Thane), Andrew Chaney (husband of Kristen) and Alexander Chaney (husband of Laura).

Additionally, Edward’s legacy lives on through his great-grandchildren: Riley Emrich, Penelope Emrich, Salvatore Emrich, Tierney Emrich, Kennedy Garnett, Kyler Garnett, Addie Chaney, Lincoln Chaney, Miles Chaney, Ruby Chaney, Ivy Chaney and Calvin Chaney.

Edward will be remembered for his steadfast faith in God that guided every aspect of his life.

His deep love for family was evident in all he did – whether through words of encouragement or moments shared together – and his radiant humor brought joy to everyone fortunate enough to know him.

His memory will continue to inspire comfort and strength among those who loved him.

May Edward rest eternally in peace with the Lord he so faithfully served.
