Connie Walterscheidt

The funeral for Connie Louise Walterscheidt, 60, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024, at the Hennessey First United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Sandra Shepherd. Burial will follow at Harmony Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.

Connie was born at Cleveland on Oct. 25, 1963, to Leon R. and Ruby C. Allen Gibbons and died Friday, Sept. 27, 2024.

She graduated from Hennessey High School in 1981.

Connie married Kent Walterscheidt in Hennessey on June 20, 1986. She was a team leader and supervisor at Oklahoma Blood Institute in Enid for over 25 years.

She was also an expert swather operator and loved cutting and baling hay with her husband Kent.

Connie loved her many dogs.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

She is survived by her husband Kent of the home; three daughters Georgia Tillman and husband Logan of Hennessey, Mary Milacek and husband Jason Witt of Dover, Christina Upchurch and husband Justin of Enid; seven grandchildren Matthew Tillman, Zack Tillman, Jace Milacek, Josie Witt, Jakub Hladik, Nathan Hladik, Jacy Hladik; two sisters Debbie Gritz of Enid and Vickie Elmer and husband Mike of Texas.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Dover School Foundation with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
