Allen Roy Fisher, known to many as Roy, passed away on Aug. 29, 2024, in Loyal at the age of 73.

He was born on Aug. 13, 1951, at Kingfisher Regional Hospital to Marvin Edward Fisher and La Vaughn Vilhauer.

Roy grew up in Kingfisher where he graduated from Kingfisher High School before attending college in Tonkawa.

His life journey took him to Woodland, Calif., for a time where he worked in water development in Sacramento before returning to Oklahoma.

Roy dedicated much of his career to various oil companies and later to BLT Tanks LLC. He was known for his generosity, having earned his 28-gallon donor pin for his frequent platelet donations.

A man of deep faith, Roy was a Christian and experienced a profound moment he was baptized in the Jordan River on Dec. 21, 1996, by Pastor Carl Morgan.

His love for his family and his dedication to his faith were central to his life.

After retiring, Roy found joy in helping with the family farm and spent his time doing various hobbies such as coin collecting, hunting and fishing. He found great joy singing in the church choir.

Roy is survived by his sister Beverly Cannon and her husband Robert of Okeene; sister Barbara Fisher of Kingfisher; sister-in-law Connie Fisher; his children April (Fisher) Thompson and her husband Scott of Oklahoma City, Joshua Fisher of Oklahoma City and Jenny (Fisher) Snow and her husband Jared of Kingfisher; and his beloved grandchildren Ryan Thompson, Kaili Thompson and Maddox Jarvis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and La Vaughn Fisher; his brothers, Dennis Fisher and Ricky Fisher; and his niece, Melissa Cannon.

A service to celebrate Roy’s life was Friday, Sept. 6, at the Kingfisher First Baptist Church under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home-Kingfisher.
