HERE LIES....Pictured is the newly-placed headstone for Virgil L. Helt at Grimes Cemetery east of Kingfi sher. Virgil lived for only four hours and his grave was unmarked for more than 100 years. His niece, Evelyn Helt-George, spent more than 30 years fi nding out more information about him, fi nding his burial plot and recently had a service to honor him. [KT&FP Photo by Twila Adams]HONORING VIRGIL – After years of research to determine the location of an unmarked grave for the infant son of W.R. and Mable Helt, Virgil Lawrence, born in 1910, Evelyn Helt-George, seated far left, gathered with other family members for a ceremony and the placing of a headstone at Grimes Cemetery. Others present were: seated, right of Helt-George, James Helt, Ed Smith and Wilma Duffy; standing from left, Douglas George, Marty Williams, Sue Smith, Erin Kochenower, Marcie Patterson and Lucinda Grimes-Moore.
