Kingfisher County Drug Court Director John Rice, center, was presented with the county bar association’s Liberty Bell Award by President Matt Oppel, left, and Associate District Judge Lance Schneiter. The award is given each year to a local layperson who has contributed to justice and the rule of law. “Mr. Rice has provided exceptional service to the county, the court and our drug court participants,” Schneiter said, noting that Rice also helped draft the framework for mental health court and other diversionary programs. “Many lives have been changed through his hard work and diligent effort.” [Photo Provided]
