Read moreKingfisher High School’s golf coaches recently showed their appreciation to the local course for being such a gracious host throughout the season. Boys’ coach Chris Combs, left, and girls’ coach Audra Smalley, right, presented a check for $1,000 to the Kingfisher Golf Course. Gary Wilson, center, the course’s manager and pro, accepted the check. The course hosted eight high school tournaments throughout the season. Four of those were invitational tournaments, at which the course fed every player and coach who took part. The course then played host to a pair of regional qualifiers and two regional tournaments. “It’s great to have someone like Gary who is willing to put in a lot of work to host those tournaments,” Combs said. “There aren’t a lot of places that are willing to put in that work and we appreciate all he does for our teams and our school.” [Photo provided]
