Betty Jean (Cowan) Klingman passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 14, 2026. She was born Sept. 26, 1933, in Sterling to Harley and Burtey Cowan.Betty was a sweet and gentle woman who found joy in life’s simple pleasures.

Robert Henry Schroeder, 85, of Bettendorf, Iowa, formerly of Cedar Falls, Iowa, passed away at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House on Friday, May 8, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. A celebration of life will be held following a short public Masonic funeral service Friday, May 15.
