State Fair Arena had a distinct Kingfisher County flavor last week as three local teams took part in the Class A and B state basketball tournaments. The Dover girls, Lomega girls and Okarche boys all qualified for state AND won quarterfinal games. Ultimately, the Lady Raiders proved queens of Class B once again while the Okarche boys reigned supreme in Class A. For the Lady Raiders, it was a 16th title, adding to their record. The Okarche boys won for just the second time in program history... with the other being more than four decades ago.
