Read moreAfter a year of isolation, the return of the annual Kingfisher Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the chamber of commerce seemed a giant bunny hop in the direction of normalcy. Chamber Director Shauna Rupp estimated close to 150 little ones participated in the hunt for 4,200 eggs containing candy, cash prizes and coupons for free treats, all sponsored by local businesses. “We also had a record number of prize baskets donated by businesses, plus grand prizes like scooters, razors and hoverboards,” Rupp said. “This was a great event sponsored by local businesses and the chamber.” Some of the smiling faces on display included: clockwise from top left, buddies Raiden Bragg, 3, and Justin Conner, 5, with a prize basket; Olivia Fisher, 3, who collected her eggs in a handbag to complement her outfit; Skylah Bell, 1, carefuly retrieving her first find, and a group of eager egg seekers racing to start their hunt.
