Lady Longhorns shut down Shidler
Shidler proved to be just what Dover needed to snap its brief losing streak.
Dover shut down the visiting Lady Tigers in a 47-22 win at home on Tuesday.
The Lady Longhorns had lost two in a row, but now sit at 2-2.
They held Shidler to just two points in each the first and third quarters.
That allowed them to build a 25-point lead entering the fourth.
The wealth was spread evenly as seven Lady Longhorns scored at least four points.
Karlee Harviston led the group with 13 points. Yareli Obeso scored all seven of her points in the third when Dover outscored Shidler 15-2.

Longhorns drop 3rd straight
A chilly second quarter led to Dover suffering its third straight loss.
The Longhorns had just one second-quarter field goal Tuesday and never fully recovered in a 47-36 home loss to Shidler.
Dover got six points from Kolten Shaw in the first quarter as the Longhorns faced just a two-point deficit.
However, they scored just three points in the second quarter as Shidler’s Landon Vogele heated up.
He scored eight in the frame and 23 for the game.
Peyton Floyd added 16 for the visitors as they held off any Dover rally in the second half.
Shaw ended his night with 14 points. Emory Norton scored 12 for Dover, which fell to 1-3 on the season.
