Vincent Pribil
Vincent Edwin Pribil was born west of Bison to Joe A. and Rose Pribil on July 9, 1927, and died Sept. 23, 2021, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid.
Funeral Mass was Tuesday, Sept. 28, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bison.
Burial followed at Bison Cemetery.
Vincent grew up on the family farm west of Bison.
He attended St. Joseph Catholic School for grades 2-8 and then Hennessey High School where he graduated in 1945.
Shortly after he turned 18, he was drafted to serve in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He attended basic training in the U.S. Infantry Division at Fort Bragg, N.C., and then was transferred to the artillery division at West Point, N.Y., where he assisted with cadet artillery training until the May 1946 at which time he was honorably discharged.
Vincent returned home to resume work on the family farm.
On Sept. 5, 1951, he married Angelina Pacula of Hennessey at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hennessey.
They lived and worked on the Pribil family farm ever since.
Vincent is survived by his wife; six sons, Gerald Pribil and wife Cindra and family of Bartlesville, Alan Pribil and wife Bekki and family of Pratt, Kan., Brian Pribil and wife Carey and family of Edmond, Dwight Pribil of Stillwater, Roger Pribil and wife Cindy and family of Hennessey and Chris Pribil and wife Roxana and family of Edmond; and sister Cecilia Heffron of Maine.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Reverend Clement E. Pribil.
