Lynnette Merritt

Lynnette Merritt, 80, of Kingfisher, was born April 17, 1941, to Charles Leonard and Mary (Cox) Merritt in Altus and died Thursday, July 1, 2021, in Kingfisher.

Lynnette went to school in Altus.

She moved to the Oklahoma Action Rehabilitation Center (OARC) in Woodward in 1993. While there, she was employed at its thrift shop.

She lived in Woodward for 26 years before moving to Cimarron Nursing Center in Kingfisher to be closer to family.

Lynnette will always be remembered for her charming demeanor and her love for her family, especially the new babies.

Lynnette was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Joe.

She leaves behind her family, Norma Finley and Dean and Ann Finley of Kingfisher, Karol and Sherry Finley of Lindsay, and Judy Finley of Kansas City and their children and grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 9, in Altus under the direction of Greer Funeral Home.
