Jackets take 2nd at CVC tourney

Peyton Burns earned all-conference honors and the Kingfisher High School boys team placed second Wednesday in their season debut.
KHS shot a 342 at Purcell’s Brent Bruehl Memorial Golf Course in the Canadian Valley Conference Tournament.
The finish was eight strokes behind Bethany’s championship showing. Blanchard was third with a 343.
Burns shot an 82 to place fourth overall, good to earn him the individual conference honor.
Colby Campbell and Caleb Cameron shot matching 85s, which tied them for 11th individually.
Logun Burnham finished with a 90 and Caden Hill a 103.
Bethany’s Brady Claborn won medalist honors with a 75.
The Jackets travel to Ada Monday and Hennessey Wednesday for their next two tournaments.
