Carol Mueggenborg
Carol Ann Mueggenborg went to see our Lord, Jesus Christ, on Monday, Jan. 4, 2021.
Carol was born on March 13, 1944, in Kingfisher to Walter and Billie (McCully) Bullard.
She attended school in Kingfisher and started a family with George R. Heupel on March 24,1961, in Okarche. Together they had four children: Cynthia, Shelly, Wesley and Voni.
On July 16, 1971, Carol was married to Mike Mueggenborg of Okarche at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kingfisher by Father Beckman.
Theybegan a journey that would last 46 years until the passing of Mike.
During their years together they lived in Kingfisher; Grapevine, Texas; Seattle, Wash.; Milpitas, Calif.; Houston, Texas; Madison, Miss.; and Coral Springs, Fla.
When they retired, they moved back to Okarche to be close to their friends and family.
Carol was employed at McCully-Schwarz Furniture, a family-owned furniture store in Kingfisher, for many years.
While living in Kingfisher, she and Mike would purchase properties and flip them. You could say that Carol was the “Original Flipper” back in the day.

She was obsessed with the Asian theme and her home was totally decorated with it.
When Mike and Carol were employed, they enjoyed their Sunday champagne-mimosa brunches, traveling and visiting their children and grandchildren.
During their retirement, they enjoyed visiting with friends and family at their home as well as spending weekends at their lake house at Ryan’s Lake.
It was obvious that Carol just enjoyed life and having fun.
Carol was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Ann Heupel; her parents Walter and Billie (McCully) Bullard of Kingfisher; and her husband Mike Mueggenborg of Okarche.
She is survived by her brother Darrell Bullard of Dover;, and sister Linda Bullard of Kingfisher; her children Shelly (Jeff) West of Grapevine, Texas, Wesley Heupel of Okarche, and Voni Bentancourt (David) of Haslet, Texas; her five grandchildren, Kaitlin West, Tanner Bentancourt and wife Alexi, Madison West, Lauren Bentancourt and Morgan Bentancourt.
Viewing was at Huber-Benson Funeral Home in El Reno from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, and from 1:30 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10.
A graveside service will be held at the Kingfisher Cemetery on at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, with Darin Hedrick officiating.
