Claude ‘Topper’ Trindle Jr.
Claude Trindle Jr., aka Topper, was born Aug. 20, 1945.
Topper passed away Nov. 26, 2020, in Kingfisher at the age of 75.
Topper was a graduate of Kingfisher High School in 1963. Following high school, he attended Oklahoma Military Academy in Claremore, where he played football for two years on a national junior college runner-up football team.
He graduated with an associate’s degree in business. He continued his education and football career at Hofstra University in New York.
Following college he had a successful career in a custom harvesting business. After 20 years harvesting, he went to work for Prime Energy and worked another 20 years there as an oil field pumper.
He then retired and resided on the family farm southwest of Kingfisher.
He enjoyed being a member of the Elks Lodge in Kingfisher, serving three terms as the exalted ruler for the lodge. He also enjoyed traveling to national Elks events.
He was preceded in death by parents Claude Sr. and Ardalene Trindle; brother, Warren Trindle; and nephew, Zachary Trindle.
He survived by wife, Renee Trindle; son, Curt Trindle and wife Shonna and sons, Cy and Carson; daughter, Amy Poss and husband Kris, and sons Conner and Camden; son, Clint Trindle and wife Angie and daughters Alexis and Allie. He was also a stepfather to Renee’s children, Mathew Mitchell and wife Erica and step-granddaughter, Zoe; and stepdaughter, Megan Mitchell.
Funeral services were 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Kingfisher. Burial followed at Kingfisher Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Service.
