Ronnie Fry
Ronnie Lee Fry, 68, Kingfisher, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2020.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, at the Kingfisher Cemetery with Daryl Reininger officiating. Funeral arrangements are by Sanders Funeral Service.
Ronnie was born Dec. 31, 1951, in Kingfisher, the son of Art and Evelyn Fry.
He graduated from Lomega High School, class of l970, and continued on to graduate from Oklahoma State University.
In his teaching career, he taught math and science at Greenfield Public Schools where he met his wife Debbie.
They were married March 14, 1987.
When Greenfield School closed, he continued his teaching career at Okarche Public Schools and Lomega Public Schools.
Ronnie was a lifelong member of the Federated Church where he served as the treasurer for many years. He was an active member attending various mission trips and he especially loved contemporary Christian music.
He was a supporter of and his truck radio was always tuned to the K-LOVE radio station.
Ronnie was a farmer and rancher and farmed alongside his dad on the family farm.
He loved to be at the farm, making the rounds to check all the cattle and family members could always expect to receive pictures of newborn calves.
He looked forward every year to sowing and harvesting wheat.
One of Ronnie’s passions was his work as a volunteer firefighter where he served the local community of Omega.
In over 20 years of volunteer service to the community, he would always stop whatever he was doing and go whenever there was a call.
Ronnie is survived by his wife Debbie; daughter Sarah Fry; stepsons Clint Cowan and Scott Cowan and wife Calla; grandchildren Carter, Chloe and Wyatt Cowan; sister Kay Province; nephew Chris Province and niece Lorrin Province.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents.
