Norman Dale Shutler
Norman Dale Shutler passed away on Aug. 5, 2020.
No three words better describe him than generous, selfless and playful.
Norman, or “Dale” as his wife, Lalat, of almost 36 years called him, was a father to three kids, Alisha ‘Jewely,’ Ilea and Ian, who adored him.
He was born Feb. 3, 1943, to Robert Norman Shutler, a lawyer and judge in this town, and Virginia Walker Shutler along with his two siblings, Robert David Shutler, his elder brother, and Martha Shutler Jones, his younger sister.
He lived quite a life.
He left to serve in the U.S. Army in high school and was stationed in Korea.
He came back to attend school at Eastern Oklahoma State College and worked a variety of interesting and varied jobs throughout his life.
His favorite role, however, wasn’t until he met his beautiful wife Lalat in India and had his three children.
He treasured being a husband and a father and loved nothing more than his family.
They were his constant and he was their guiding light. He is missed deeply, but still loved no less.
He was born, raised and lived in Kingfisher, and he loved living in this town.
