Cashion’s Woody signs with SCU
Jacob Woody will be playing his college basketball close to home. Woody last Friday signed to play at Southwestern Christian University in Bethany. A 2020 Cashion High School graduate, Woody helped guide the Wildcats to the Class 2A state tournament as a senior. It was the first time the program reached state since 1996. A three-year starter, Woody scored 1,409 points in his career. That included averaging 18.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals as a senior as Cashion went 25- 3. He was named the Three Rivers Conference MVP as Cashion went 6-0 and won the conference tournament. He was also voted to the Oklahoma Basketball Coaches Association All-State team, among several other postseason honors, and played in that game last month.
