Melvin Branson

Melvin Paul Branson was born Nov. 25, 1936, in Mulhall to Luther and Winnifred (McCracken) Branson.

He passed away July 9, 2020, at his home in Kingfisher at the age of 83.

Melvin married Bernita Eva Moore on Aug. 27, 1958, in Redwood Fall, Minn. They established their first home in El Reno.

Survivors include three children, Charles Branson and wife Vicki, Sylvia Bernhardt, and Debra Henderson, all of Kingfisher; sister Emma Gaye Sieber of Hennessey; brother Emmitt Branson of Crescent; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, son Gaylen Paul, grandson Brock, two sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services were Monday, July 13, at the Kingfisher Church of Christ with Jay Roney officiating.

Burial followed in the Oakland-Knowles Cemetery in Crescent.
