Dillon Mitchell

Dillon Bradley Mitchell, 25, of Cashion, died Saturday, June 27, 2020, in Oklahoma City.

Dillon was born Nov. 30, 1994, in Oklahoma City.

He graduated from Cashion High School in 2013, where he found a love for powerlifting and football. He also loved fishing and hunting, but his passion was cooking and it was a passion he shared with everyone around him.

He was always “fixing things” and was always available and willing to help anyone with anything. He was well-known for his cowboy hat, mustache and humor.

Dillon was an old soul that showed through the older traditions he carried on, such as respecting his elders, holding doors open and always saying “hello” to anyone who crossed his path.

He was always happy and smiling and that was felt by everyone he was around. He never met a stranger, which is one reason he became an organ donor. Dillon is survived by his loving parents, Carolyn Mitchell of the home and Jon Mitchell of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Daci Mitchell of Oklahoma City and Rachelle Mitchell of Kingfisher; one brother, Jonathan Mitchell and wife Melanie, and nephew Cayson Mitchell, all of Cashion; grandparents Homer and Connie Reynolds of Kingfisher and Kaye Mitchell of Dover; and, numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister, Morgan Michelle, and grandfather, John Allen Mitchell. A celebration of life was held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 3, by graveside at Kingfisher Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Service.

P&J’s Legacy in Cashion is hosting a benefit Saturday, July 11, to help the family with funeral expenses. It will include a silent auction from 1-4 p.m. and a potluck dinner at 5 p.m. with free will donations.
