Wanda Fuqua

Wanda N. Fuqua, 81, Kingfisher, passed away at her home Tuesday, May 26, 2020.

Services are 1 p.m. Saturday, June 6, at Pleasant Home Baptist Church in Prague with Nathan Howard officiating.

Wanda was born Nov. 24, 1938, in Crow to William A. and Vera Mae (Idlett) Fitch.

She graduated from Cushing High School.

She married Walter Fuqua on Nov. 24, 2001, in Okarche.

Wanda was a homemaker, but also worked as the maid manager at Copa Motel and as a waitress at Flegel’s Restaurant and Tower Cafe.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, former husband Kenneth Schlegel and sister Barbara Neely.

Survivors include sons John Schlegel and wife Pamela of Loyal and Bryan Schlegel of Kingfisher; brother-in-law David Neely of Prague; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
