Jacob Woody and Matthew Stone were among those from Kingfisher County to pick up a number of postseason basketball honors over the weekend.

In publications by The Oklahoman, Woody was named to the Little All-City first team and the Class 2A all-state team.

Both rosters are picked by The Oklahoman staff.

The Cashion senior averaged 18.0 points and 8.0 rebounds a game in guiding the Wildcats to the state tournament for the first time since 1996.

He was joined on the Little All-City first team by Kingfisher’s Bijan Cortes (see related story).

Kingfisher’s Stone was a Little All-City second-team selection.

Little All-City includes schools in Class 4A and below that reside in Oklahoma County and its surrounding counties.

The newspaper’s allstate by class selections were published Sunday along with its “Super 5” picks.

Woody earned the designation while teammates Alex Nabavi and Jonah Jenkins were honorable mention.

Stone and KHS teammate Jarret Birdwell were honorable mention in Class 4A (Cortes was a first-team selection).

Hennessey’s Angel Rodriguez earned honorable mention in Class 3A as did Okarche’s Kaleb Harris and Evan Endres in Class A.

Rodriguez was a Little All-City third-team pick.

Little All-City honorable mention also went to Nabavi, Jenkins, Birdwell, Harris and Endres.
