Kornelius Schellenberg
Kornelius Schellenberg, 66, of Omega, passed away on Feb. 14, 2020, surrounded by family and friends.
Kornelius was born to parents Heinrich and Katherina Schellenberg in Cuauhtémoc, Chihuahua, Mexico, on Dec. 18, 1953.
He grew up in Campo 26, Mexico, where he attended the local Mennonite school.
He married Susana Knelsen, the love of his life, in September 1975. They lived in Mexico for several years where Kornelius worked as a farmer and later in an apple storage facility before moving to the United States in 1987.
Kornelius and Susana were blessed with four boys that they raised in the Omega area.
He most recently worked for Stan Winters in Kingfisher.
Kornelius always enjoyed riding horses and working cattle.
Kornelius is survived by Susana Schellenberg of the home. He is also survived by son David and wife Andrea and their three sons, Dusty, Braden, and Kolt; son Henry and wife Tasha and their two children, LaraLiz and Trent; son Isaak and wife Christy and their three children, Emily, Scott, and Ethan; son Abe and wife Amy and their four children, Heaven, Mailakiy, Giddion, and Jazzymon; three sisters, Susan, Helen, and Tina; two brothers, Henry and Abe; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were Monday, Feb. 17, at the Okeene Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Burial followed at the Omega SDA Cemetery.
