Lafferty earns XC honor from NFHS

Kingfisher High School’s Kerri Lafferty is still raking in honors for the 2018 cross country season.
It was announced last month that Lafferty was named the 2018-19 Oklahoma Girls Cross Country Coach of the Year by the National Federation of High Schools Coaches Association.
Lafferty was nominated for the honor by the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association.
The KHS girls won the Class 4A cross country state championship in Shawnee in 2018.
It was the first cross country state title for the program.
Lafferty has been recognized with a number of honors since then including being named the girls cross country coach of the year by the Oklahoma Cross Country and Track Coaches Association.
